Although other drum circles have come into existence since the incarnation of the Venice Beach Drum Circle, none retain the spirit or the size of this local phenomenon. Its structure is anarchic, with no leaders or set of regulations. One just has to contribute to the rhythm and befriend one’s neighbors to join. All ages, races, cultures, and instruments are welcome. It is a place where one can truly belong to a community.
